Everyone who is working could possibly open a door for you. They don’t have to be working in your profession to know someone who does! Often, your friends assume you already found a job. “Out of sight – out of mind” is not good, if you’re conducting a job search.

Attend functions, networking events, job fairs and job clubs. If there is no job club in your area, start one. Inviting employers to speak will increase your Professional Network.

Write down how you are conducting your current search. Determine those actions that are providing results, and do more of them. Stop doing things that are a waste of your time and try additional resources and techniques to obtain better results.

Worrying about not finding a job can paralyze your efforts and will do nothing to move your search forward. Instead of worrying, do something you haven’t tried, and it could possibly help you connect to a potential employer.
